What an outreach looks like
One week in September.
In September 2024, an IMO team set up in Jos for a single medical outreach. By the time they packed out, they had attended to 1,052 patients, performed 108 surgeries, completed 309 lab investigations, and seen 275 eye patients. 145 volunteers — surgeons, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, teachers, students, and friends from churches across Nigeria and the United States — gave their time and paid their own way to be there.
By the end of that week, 281 people had given their lives to Christ and 115 more had rededicated theirs. Every surgery was free. Every consultation was free. Every prescription was free. That is one outreach. We do this several times a year.
It was absolutely amazing to see how God moved through the IMO team, every day, to meet the physical and spiritual needs of over 1,600 people. This is a movement I have to be a part of.
